1. About these terms

These terms apply when you request a quote, place an order, buy from our shop or enrol on a course with Tynmas Labs, 124 Manyani East Road, Nairobi, Kenya. By accepting a quote, paying a deposit or registering, you agree to them.

2. Quotes and prices

  • All prices are in Kenya Shillings. VAT is added where it applies and shown on your quote.
  • Website estimates are a guide. Your written quote is the price we commit to, and it is valid for the period shown on it.
  • If you change the design, material, quantity or deadline after accepting, we will re-quote before going ahead.

3. Deposits and payment

  • Custom work starts once the deposit shown on your quote is paid. The balance is due on collection or before dispatch.
  • We accept M-Pesa, bank transfer and cash. Please share your payment confirmation with us.
  • Finished items are released once paid in full.

4. Turnaround

Most print jobs on stock materials are ready in about 48 hours, and we confirm the timing on your quote. Dates depend on prompt approvals and payment from you; we will tell you straight away if anything changes.

5. Your files and intellectual property

  • You keep ownership of the designs and files you send. We use them only for your project.
  • You confirm you have the right to reproduce what you ask us to make, and that it does not infringe anyone else's rights.
  • Designs we create for you are licensed or transferred as stated on your quote (for example personal use, commercial use or full IP transfer). Until the work is paid in full, we keep the rights to it.
  • We may decline work that is unsafe, unlawful, or infringes someone else's rights, including weapons and weapon parts.

6. Materials and tolerances

3D printed parts show fine layer lines and can vary slightly in size and colour between batches. Where fit matters, we recommend a test print first. We will advise on the most suitable material, but you are responsible for confirming that a part is suitable for its final use, especially for load-bearing, food-contact, medical or high-temperature applications.

7. Checking your order

Please inspect your order on collection or delivery and tell us about any problem within 3 days. If a part does not match the agreed specification, we will reprint or repair it, or refund the affected part. See Delivery and Returns for details.

8. Cancellations

  • You can cancel custom work before printing starts and we will refund your deposit less any design or setup work already done.
  • Once printing has started, the deposit covers materials and machine time and is not refundable.

9. Tynmas Edu courses

  • Your seat is reserved once the deposit is paid, and the balance is due before the course starts.
  • If you cancel at least 7 days before the start date we will refund your payment less the deposit, or move you to the next cohort at no cost.
  • If we have to cancel or reschedule a course, you can move to a new date or get a full refund.

10. Liability

We take care with every job, but our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not responsible for indirect losses, or for damage caused by using a part outside the purpose agreed with us. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under Kenyan consumer protection law.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Kenya. We will always try to resolve a problem with you directly first.
